The Toy Poodle is an elegant, lively, small dog with an abundant, but well-groomed and clipped curly coat. The ears are long, flat and wide. The head is long with dark, almond-shaped eyes that demonstrate an attentive appearance. The head is a bit curved. The teeth usually have a scissors bites. A good Poodle has a square figure. The feet are tiny, oval and webbed. The tail is docked to generate an impartial dog. These dogs come in a variety of colors.
The Toy Poodle is amazingly intelligent. Toy poodles are said to be one of the most trainable breeds. They enjoy being with people. They are very entertaining and clever, but they are set aside with strangers and should be socialized as puppies. It makes a great watchdog for its size. Any attempt the owner puts into training will be well rewarded. Some bloodlines may be excitable and shy. Toy poodles may crack if they are teased or surprised. They do best with older children and are normally fine with other pets and dogs. This breed tends to bark a lot.
