Six Ways to Pamper Your Pomeranian

Pomeranians are "people dogs" who love to be pampered and spoiled by their owners.

Pomeranians are highly intelligent dogs who's greatest desire is to spend time with their humans. They love one-on-one interaction and appreciate being pampered and adored. Your Pom is always there for you. Wouldn't you like to return the favor? Here's how to shamelessly pamper and spoil your Pomeranian dog:

  1. Take your Pomeranian for a brisk ride in the car.Have you ever met a dog who didn't love riding in the car? I'm sure they're out there, but they certainly can't be common. You and you Pom can spend some one one time together as you drive up and down the streets of your neighborhood. You can admire the houses while your Pom acknowledges all the dogs. Just be sure not to leave your Pomeranian in the car if it's too warm or cold outside.
  2. Bake some healthy, but tasty homemade dog treats for your Pomeranian. Your Pomeranian will appreciate the time you spend in the kitchen making special treats just for him. There are lots of recipes for delicious dog treats online which you can find through a simple Google search. Look for ones with peanut butter as these always seem to be popular with Pomeranians. If you want to get super fancy, use a pastry bag to write your Pomeranian's name on his cookies. He'll feel very pampered and special.
  3. Give your Pom a day at doggy day care.If your Pomeranian enjoys interacting with other dogs, take him for a fun filled day at a local doggy day care facility. There he can play and socialize with a variety of dogs. Some facilities even have small wading pools for the dogs to jump into when they get too hot from all the fun they're having. Your Pomeranian will go home tired by happy.
  4. Give your Pomeranian a massage. If your Pomeranian is a bit of a hedonist, he'll enjoy a a ten minute doggy massage. You don't have to use any fancy techniques for this, just the touch and movement of your hand will be enough to satisfy your Pom. Not only does this relax and pamper your Pomeranian dog, it also helps to build a stronger bond between the two of you. It's especially beneficial if your Pomeranian is older and suffers from arthritis.
  5. Give your Pomeranian a day at a dog spa.Yes, there are luxury spas out there for pampered dogs these days and they do a booming business. You can usually find these spas listed with the kennels and doggy day care centers in your phone book. Here, your Pomeranian can get a massage, swim, and even get a whirlpool massage at some facilities. Plus, he can be groomed at the same time which saves you time and energy.
  6. Take your Pom to a local dog park.Dog parks are springing up all over the place and dogs are rejoicing. Not only are dog parks entertaining for the dogs, it's very relaxing to watch the dogs interact after a long day at work. You could even make this a regular event. In actuality, your Pomeranian dog will feel spoiled and pampered anytime he spends time with you. Why not give your devoted Pom a tummy rub today?
