Simple and Easy Tips for Pet Lovers

Pets are lovely animals kept as companions, which should be treated with care and affection.

Every one of us loves to keep one or even more pets. Harry Potter himself keeps a snowy owl as his pet. Most of his fans wish to keep one too, but snowy owls are protected birds. So for those who are favored in keeping a pet, it is better to visit the pet shop to choose one that you like.

Now, let me leading you there and introduce some pets that are suitable for you particularly for children.

Rabbits

Healthy rabbits look like those in the pictures. They are characterized by their upright ears, rolling eyes, swift and agile movements.

How to care for a rabbit:

  1. Always keep the hutch or cage clean
  2. Besides carrots, vegetables can also be part of a rabbit's diet
  3. Do not bathe a rabbit but clean it with a clean towel
  4. Hold the rabbit in the proper way

Cats

A cute kitten is a common choice for many.

How to care for a cat:

  1. Prepare a comfortable sleeping place. A basket or a cardboard box is ideal for a cat to sleep in.
  2. Prepare a sand box for a cat to defecate
  3. Feed an adult cat once or twice a day
  4. Do not give a cat cold food. It will vomit.

Parrots

A parrot can live up to 50 years.

How to care for a parrot:

  1. A parrot has very strong beak. Therefore, you should prepare a metal cage to keep it in.
  2. When the parrot plucks its feathers, it means it is sick.
  3. Put the parrot in the sun when the weather is fine.
  4. Repeat the same one word for a week and the parrot will remember it for life.

Tortoises

A tortoise is easy to keep as a pet.

How to care for a tortoise:

  1. Handle a tortoise in an appropriate way.
  2. Provide some sand for the tortoise to warm itself on cold days.

  1. Feed the tortoise with a variety of leafy vegetables
  2. The tortoise becomes sluggish when the temperature drops to below 20 degree Celsius.

Rhinoceros Beetles

This insect is called a rhinoceros beetle because it has horns like those of a rhinoceros.

How to care for a Rhinoceros Beetle:

  1. Put a layer of damp soil in an aquarium. On top of the damp soil, put some woods for it to rest.
  2. Feed it with fleshy and easily digested fruits
  3. Do not place two male rhinoceros beetles in the same aquarium because they will fight fiercely
  4. Hold a rhinoceros beetle gently in your palm

Goldfish

A goldfish makes an excellent pet for watching and admiring.

How to care for a goldfish:

  1. Do not feed a goldfish with bread. It is not nutritious to feed it and the water will get cloudy easily.
  2. Feed it once or twice a day. It usually finishes its food in 5 minutes.
  3. Do not mix other breed of fishes with the goldfish in the same aquarium

Electronic Pets

Not everyone can look after their pets satisfactorily. Perhaps the easiest ways is to keep an electronic pet such as the Tamagotchi, Horace Hamster, Pet Master or ASIMO. These pets need very little personal care.

Alternatively, you can rear a pet at Neopets. Rearing pets at this website is fun as the pet can play and entertain you when you get bored. Currently, this website has approximately 250,000,000 pet owners. Besides rearing a pet, you can play on over 160 internet games, shop for your pet, do auction, submit a video, and watch a video at Neovision. In other words, you can do just about anything related to Neopet.

Remember to shop for your Neopet for foods and toys at the Neopian Plaza.

Each pet has a particular character.

At Neopet, there are a variety of pets to choose from. Firstly, you should create an account before selecting your desired pet. Then, you give your pet a name. Click on the picture to obtain more information about each pet you chose. Creating a pet here will earn you 50 Neopoints. Though you are allowed to rear more than one pet, it is always advisable to choose one.

I work in a pet store that sells African Grey parrots like the ones you have pictured above and there is no way in the world it is possible to sum up their care needs in anything less than a book. Not only that but they can live over 65 years if they aren't exposed to harsh smells or fatty food. lol, and holland flop rabbits will not have upright ears no matter how healthy they are... oh and TORTOISES (not turtles) do not always require water in their environment, many times they are from a desert climate and get their water from the fresh veggies and greens that have to be freshly prepared for them everyday. Articles like this make ignorant people think they can take care of very complicated animals.
