Have you been to a Petsmart
pet store lately? Petsmart is a pet store that opens its doors freely to both and your pet to roam their spacious aisles filled with pet supplies and pet treats of all types. You won't find dogs and cats sold here. They don't give business to the puppy mills that are proliferating in this country. Petsmart has dedicated its cause to finding homes for the millions of stray dogs and cats in this country. In fact, they claim to have found homes for over a millions stray dogs and cats. Now that's true community action.
Petsmart stores are usually spacious, approaching the size of a warehouse with lots of room to navigate up and down the aisles of pet foods, toys, and treats with your dog in tow. In addition to the excellent selection, the prices at Petsmart are excellent. They are generally better than you'll find at most pet stores in an area. The open space and hustle and bustle make the Petsmart atmosphere quite pleasant. Plus, you get the opportunity to see a variety of interesting dog breeds and mixed breeds while you shop.
The staff at Petsmart pet stores are quite friendly and knowledgeable with a special fondness for animals of all types. Many of them have adopted abandoned and rescued dogs and cats and their concern for the welfare of animals comes through when you speak with them.
Petsmart also sponsors adoption clinics for a variety of rescue groups on the weekends. Here, you can find a number of adoptable dogs and cats that are just waiting for the right person to come along and recognize how special they are. The adoption rate at these events appears to be quite high.
If there's one drawback to Petsmart pet stores, it is that their grooming center tends to be a bit slow and disorganized. Although they do an excellent job of grooming the animals, the wait time can be long. Maybe this is to be expected in a store with such a high volume of shoppers.
All in all, Petsmart is an excellent pet supply store where you can not only shop but give your dog or other pet some physical and mental stimulation. Plus, you can rest assured you'll dealing with a pet store that actually stands for something and recognizes the plight of homeless animals. It'll make you feel good to support a store like Petsmart.
