When I first bring my puppy home, I fed him dry kibbles that contain corn. During that time I found he has loads of flaky skin on his body. But then I never suspect corn is the culprit.
One day I fed my then puppy some corn from the cob. In few minutes after consumption, I noticed his stomach skin has a lot of reddish marks. It was then I understand that my dog is allergic to corn.
I quickly change his daily food diet and never look back. I also notice from then on very seldom he has hot spots.
For your information, corn has never been a part of wild dogs food diet. Dogs are carnivore. So why should we feed our dog corn diet?
