Crate training your dog is probably the most important thing you need to know before getting a dog. Here I will explain how to crate train your dog.
When you get a dog, put a treat in its crate and have it smell it. When the dog goes inside the crate and eats, he will be convinced that the crate is a good place.
A dog will know that it shouldn't go to the washroom in its crate which it will start treating like a den. Remember to only have a crate that will allow your dog to stand up and turn around because if you have more space the dog might pee at the other side.
After a fixed time, take the dog outside and allow it to release. Keep following this simple procedure and soon the dog will know where it is right to go to the washroom. Don't forget to give the dog a treat when he goes to the washroom at the right place. If he goes to the wrong place, don't shout at him because he won't understand what he is doing wrong.
After a few months or weeks, you will have a crate trained puppy.
