After writing My Dog Refuse To Eat His Own Food, it's time for me to unveil how I make my dog love his own food again. It was a hellish ride alright. Owning a dog who loves food first and you second is nothing wonderful. Or maybe it's wonderful for training purposes as I can use food to tempt him. But then that's another story alright.
So what's my secret solution? What I did was I remove his food bowl altogether. Since he refuses to eat his own food, I decided to grant him his wishes. Of course I didn't let him suffer for long. He did eat a little but didn't finish it.
I use this method for 2 days only and right after that he begins to eat his own food back. He's hungry and that's why. From that day on I don't have any more food refusal objection from him.
But you know what? Sometimes it can be because your dog doesn't like the kibbles. You can try changing to another brand or mix with another brand and see how.
