In my last article we left off the captivating topic of how to house a today will hopefully quench your thirst for knowledge but open a craving for the video, as I will attempt to explain to you the art of finding and catching a hermit crab in the big beaches of this island and spotting them across the sand.
How to find hermit crabs
Hermit crabs usually hide among the sand a little further from the ocean as they camouflage greatly with the little rocks and old shells that the sea gently caresses until they reach the sandbar. hermit crabs cannot be spotted easily as they are as I said before I bit small, the only way to find them in my opinion is to not look for them, just focus on the sandbar with the little rocks and just focus on it, sooner or later you will notice something move a little bit and that's when you look at that peculiar spec of land and you will probably see a little shell moving across the rocks. This will be you hermit crab friend number one.
How to catch hermit crabs
Pick up the shell and the hermit crab will quickly retreat back into its shell, this is the point where you decide to hold it in the shell or out. If you continue to hold the shell the hermit crab will become curious and start to come out, don't be alarmed when you see a big claw (as its not like they can hurt you or anything), in my movie I'll show you both methods. If you prefer to not let him out now wait until he's inside his shell and turn it upside down so you're looking at the entrance. Most likely it's a claw so press you thumb against it (the claw) and the shell. A hermit crab cannot over power you and is forced to stay inside the shell, giving you the opportunity to put it into a cub or a bucket.
