Itch. Itch. Itch.
Scratch. Scratch. Scratch.
I woke up at 2 in the morning and felt very uncomfortable. I felt itchy. Very itchy. Those little vampires called mosquitoes attacked me again.
Scratch. Scratch.
Early morning:
Me: Mom! Look, I've got lots of red spots.. those mosquitoes!
Mom: Hey, those could not be mosquitoes.. they're.. flea bites!!!
Me: … [dumbfounded]
No wonder they were so many. According to my last count, there were more than 30 all over my body. 30 red, itchy, uncomfortable, disgusting spots. The worst part is, they will all leave scars. 30 scars. Despicable.
Dog flea, jumpy, ukulele, leaping flea, Ctenocephalides cannis. When you hear these names with gossips that they lurk around near you, I tell you. Scamper out of your location immediately. Those loathesome minute creatures will cause you so much trouble once they reach your body. Moreover, they aren't very visible to the eyes, and they're armed with piercing mouth parts that'll make you suffer more than you can imagine. Oh, how very annoying.
Mom: Hey can you keep an eye on your brother for a while?
Me: I can't, I'm busy scratching my foot!
It's been three days and my condition's getting worse.
Itchy. Itchy.
I got these red bumps on my skin not in our house, but in another place which I do not even consider dirty or filthy or what not. Thus, however clean is that house, those fleas still linger because they got dogs. Ugh.
If there are mosquito repellents, there should also be flea repellents. I was so ignorant that there were fleas there. And besides, I could see mosquitoes and even kill them with my bare hands. But not those fleas! Thus, flea repellents. Hehe. And why were those creatures created in the first place?! What good do they contribute for world peace and less global warming? Huh?! They could even make neighbors quarrel because the dog of the neighbor had fleas that invaded the other neighbor's house. Note: Only 5% of the flea population are actually on your dog, the rest are in the environment (i.e. your house).
Now, my situation isn't a new one, a flash news whatever. But this surely calls the attention of you dog or whatever animal owners out there. Clean your pets. Thoroughly. Clean them as if you're cleaning your own body. Love them like your children. Ok? I never want to hear another miserable story like mine. I already feel sorry for myself. [sighs]
