There are many dog breeders out there. However, there are very few who are native Indian dog breeders whom have been able to get their dogs the accreditation that they deserve.

In fact, there has been some excellent work done by many different Indians, which some of them have spent their whole life studying the documentation of the Indian Breeds.

However, it is unfortunate that most of the standards that were set for the Indian Breeds have not been able to reach common consensus. The only breeds that have been studied are the breeds that have the largest number of dogs. These breeds have been measured and there have been standards written for them as well. On the list of Indian Breed dogs you will find the caravan hound and the combai. You will also find the Chippiparai and the Rajapalayam.

If you are one of the many dog breeders, you may want to familiarize yourself with the different breeds. The Caravan Hound gets its name from traveling along with the Caravans from one place to another. These dogs were normally bred to withstand the weather and hunt instead of color and beauty.

Information Indian Dog Breeders Should Know

The Caravan Hounds are known to be immune to many different diseases and they also have a lot of stamina as well. The Combai is known as a pure bear hound and it is also slightly shorter than the other Indian breed known as the Rajapalayam. Even though the Combai is shorter than the other breed, it appears to be heavier because of the built of the dog itself.

These dogs are normally red or either brown and have a black mask and a dark line down the back. The Combai was normally used for hunting animals such as bison, deer and boar. The history behind these dogs shows that they were used around the ninth century before Christ which was when the Marawa Kings ruled the South part of India. The Chippiparai is actually a hound that is native to the southern part of India, particularly the district of Thanjavur. This dog is built for the chasing game. This dog is also considered to be a one man dog because of the fact that it doesn't like to be petted or fed by anyone other than its master.

If you are interested in learning about dog breeders, you need to make sure that you do some research on your own. You can start your research by finding out what all of the native Indian breeds were. The native Indian breeds were the caravan hound, the Combai, the Chippiparai, the Rajapalayam, the Rampur Hound, the Kanni and the Mudol Hound. The other native Indian breeds were the Alangu, the Kuchi and the Kaikadi.

Once you have learned what all of the native breeds were you need to learn what they look like and what they were breed for. There are many Indian dog breeders that are in business today, that you could visit and interview about the different breeds. Keep in mind that there are some Indian dog breeders that only stick to one type of dog, so some information may need to be gathered from another source. When you interview the different dog breeders, you need to ask questions that will teach you why the native Indian breeds are so important.

In fact, if you are given the opportunity to walk around with them for a day, take notes of everything that he or she says. You will be more than surprised to know how much information you can learn.
