However we can actually GO OUT and seek or take care of ourselves. Other animals cannot. Sure they can go to their food bowl or water and drink and eat. They can go to the litter box or just go if they have to. No matter where it is. Sometimes they have to just "hold it: until we come home or the conditions are just right.
I have two cats. They share the water bowl and we have two containers of food. One for the one cat, one for the other. They share the same litter box. Is this bad? Well, I know we have to clean it more. That I know! However, sometimes I don't clean the litter box enough. So really they do hold it. That cannot be good for the cat. If you have to go then your body is telling you it is time to release. If you don't go I believe you are doing harm to the body. Same thing if the food bowl is empty or the water bowl is dry. Especially the water bowl.
If we as humans need to drink eith glasses of water a day, do you think it would be the same for a cat? Perhaps not actually eight glasses, but enough water so they they are hydrated. They can't fill up the water on their own though. That's where we come in. If we don't find an empty water bowl bone dry that has to do harm to the body. The liver, kidneys, ect. I've done this myself so I am just as to blame. I figured they had enough water. Heck, I just filled it up the other day. It was full! Don't assume! Assume that their body is shutting down because you assumed wrong! If you really are going to have a cat or a dog or another animal, then we have to really take care of them.
This includes taking dogs for a walk, frequent visits to the Vet and even paying attention to them. You think if people get lonely that animals are just fine by themselves? Sometimes, sure. However, some animals thrive on attention and if they don't get it then you may find your house destructive or poop in the house or furniture scratched up, ect. This really if for a reason. Not just because they are bad but because they are trying to tell you something. Then when they are crying out to you, you come home and hit them or yell out what a "bad cat you are" or "bad dog"..Poor animals. Sometimes we don't think about these things. Just take care of them like they should be cared for. If you don't think it's that bad sometimes, try going to the rescue or the welfare or the animal shelter. Then you will know what some of the dogs, cats go through. Take care of them and they will take care of you!
