Recently, Jayme Hunt (creator of Fur Heads) reported a little known canine who's making big news! Buddy, the miracle canine who's overcoming one of the worse cancers a dog can get, Mediastinal T-cell Lymphoma, and his Mom, Sandy, have a unique blend of supporting not just the body, but also the spirit.
Buddy was diagnosed with Mediastinal T-cell Lymphoma the end of August 2007. His "regular" vet gave Buddy just 3-6 weeks to live! Of course, that scared Sandy right out of her wits and she started searching for a better way. By combining the right herbs, foods, and timing for his body, Buddy was doing pretty good.

Sandy received the cd from FurHeads.com on September 24 and Buddy listened to it that night and all the next day, Sandy writes:
Hi Jayme,
Just wanted to check in about Buddy. I played his CD for him the night I got it, and overnight. I decided to let it play the next day all day as well since my husband was getting off night shift and wouldn't be watching TV. I just left him a note saying "Buddy has a CD playing, do not turn off". (He didn't know what I was trying with Buddy, but my son did. I was sure he would scoff at it.) My son was home when my husband saw my note, and of course, rolled his eyes. He went into the livingroom and of course, heard nothing.
Kris explained the CD to his dad, and Kevin again rolled his eyes. Then he looked at Buddy, he was sleeping on his bed near the CD player, with one ear cocked! He then commented that it looked like Buddy was listening, so he left it on. The first few days I saw an immediate jump in his energy level from where it was before. I was amazed. Then over the weekend he went through a depressed, lolling around period, and ate only a little.
I wasn't sure if that was a "healing crisis" , since he's on many alternative remedies. And just started a new one from the holistic vet. But I stepped up his CD, playing it all night again. It's Monday, and he's back to eating regularly, and you should have seen the greeting he just gave me when I got home! He literally flew down the stairs, with his border collie grin flashing at me. Then, suddenly, on October 1, 2007, it appeared Buddy fell into a depression slump. Visitors had come over, and Sandy was finding it difficult to play Buddy's cd. Desperate, Sandy contacted Jayme Hunt at FurHeads.com and asked what else could be done.
Hi Jayme,
I'm not sure what is happening. Buddy has all of a sudden lost his appetite, and won't cooperate with me trying to give his meds.
He was very good about it before. This is just in the lest 2 days. I am very worried. I am having a hard time playing his CD since my in-laws decided to come out for an impromptu 5 day visit and all they do is sit and watch TV in the same room I should be playing Buddy's CD in.
If I played it anyway, would their chatter and TV watching interfere? I did try to do that today but saw no improvement in him. What do you think?

Jayme made a list for Sandy and Buddy:
- Play the cd round the clock
- Play the cd regardless of their presence and TV watching and chatter
- Turn the volume up a bit, as it doesn't interrupt human activities
- Tell him that you want him to work on listening to the cd
- Tell him that getting better is the
first
priority.
- Play it 24x7 for the next two months to ensure he doesn't back slide to the point that we can't recover...
Buddy responded with such enthusiasm that first day of listening, that he was able to RUN again!

It's now 10 weeks since Buddy's diagnosis of Mediastinal T-cell Lymphoma. They say B-cell is bad, T-cell is Terrible, and of the T-cells, Mediatsinal has the worse prognosis.
I have noticed such a difference in Buddy's zest for life (spirit?) and his stamina since I began playing his cd. Of course, I think his therapies are helping him as well.
Hard to say which is working, maybe they all work together. The shotgun approach -- as it's called. But I do know this. That CD really does help pick him up when he's having hard days. After 2 or 3 days he'd back to himself, wanting to go for long walks, and this week (!!!) I witnessed him running like a Border Collie (Giant Schnauzer cross) should! First time since his diagnosis.
