three Simple Kitchen Solutions

Three steps to organize your kitchen better.

One of the most used rooms in the house is the kitchen and it happens to be one of the most un organized rooms in the house too. So here are some simple solutions to help maximize your space and get the most you can from your kitchen.

  1. Back of The Door and Small Wall Spaces

If you have a pantry with a door go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some wire door selves and attach them to the back of the door.
Place unused or rarely used items toward the top and commonly used items down by the door handle.

You can also get wire hooks to place on the back of the door or on the wall to hang small hand tools on, such and scissors.

You may also want to get a bag holder and store plastic grocery bags in there to maximize space. These bags are handy for small trash cans and cleaning out the car.

An over the door wire gook is also good for storing aprons, oven mitts and more.
  2. Storage Shelves And Drawers

At Home Depot or Lowe's you can pick up a wire under shelf to attach in the panty for smaller items, this is a good place to store kitchen towels, take out menus, batteries, cooking utensils ect.

A shoe raiser is great to give a tops shelf more self room.

You may also want to purchase a stair step rack to store smaller items on for easy access. This is great for spices and smaller backing supplies.

Outfit a drawer with plastic dividers and elevated inserts to organize small ingredients (sprinkles, vanilla extract ECT) and tools.
When storing food you may consider a cereal bin instead of boxes to store cereal and baskets for smaller snacks as there is much waster room in boxes.
  3. General Storage

When storing smaller items in container opt for square or rectangular contains as you will be able to fit more in to a space the round container.

For more space in drawers you can consider consolidating paper towels, foil and waxed paper in a single wall-mount dispenser.

To add some personality to your kitchen consider a cooking jar. You don't have to store cookies here, you can store other smaller snacks it will help decorate the kitchen but also get rid of boxes and bags in the pantry.

To organize pots and pans more efficiently you may consider and sliding drawer insert and will holds pots, pans, and lids in perfect order. Rubbermaid make some really good ones.
