Note Memorizing Tips
- When writing notes write in all capital letters.
- Also be sure to write only on the front side of each notepaper.
- Thirdly, writing all in black ink is ideal for memorization.
Story Memorization
Things that are ridiculously absurd and crazy are easier to remember than things that are mundane and uninteresting. For example: An orange elephant wore a suit to work every day while riding a unicycle. That is easier to remember than something lame and boring, you could probably tell me what color the elephant was and what he wore to work every day. Now if you have something boring you can up the story with ridiculous stuff mixed with the facts to help you remember it.
List Memorization
Then of course there is that other timeless method. The technique is basically taking a list, example: arm, foot, hand, eyes. We then take the first letter from each word, rearrange for convenience and we have HEAF. Alright, so now we can remember HEAF, and we have “h” for hand “e” for eyes, “a” for arm, “f” for foot. For longer words multiple words seem to work too.
Definitions & Foreign Language Vocabulary Memorization
Another memorization system that can work, for say definitions, or maybe language vocabulary, is the index card system. This is self explanatory, writing the word on one side of a note card and the definition on the other, or the English word on one side and the word in the foreign language on the other. Then try to practice saying the definition from just seeing the word for each over and over until you can get them all without mistake.
