10 Ways to Have a Good Day

It's easy to have a good day if you plan for it.

  1. Prepare the night before for the next morning.
  2. Set the clock to wake up 15 minutes earlier than you actually need to get up. Use this time to do some cat-like stretching.
  3. Eat breakfast. Breakfast wakes up your brain and nourishes your body.
  4. Keep a family, pet, or vacation photo in your wallet or on your desk. When you are experiencing stressful moments take a few seconds to gaze at the photo. This will instantly lift your mood.
  5. Get organized and stay organized. Clutter leads to chaos and chaos can ruin a good day. It disrupts peaceful moments.
  6. Do something nice for yourself everyday.
  7. If at all possible, take a nap. A nap can revive your mind and restore your energy.
  8. Spend part of your day with your pet. If you don't have a pet, try to spend some time outside observing nature. Placing a bird feeder within your view can provide a diversion from stress if you simply pause for a few moments and watch the activity there.
  9. Do something nice for someone.
  10. Smile often.
