Why You Should Borrow From a Friend

Some tips and tricks on how to borrow from a friend without your relationship turning sour.

Borrowing from a friend is great. Unlike banks or loan sharks, they don't charge you any interest. They don't hound you like viscous dogs. Friends, in my opinion, are much better than banks because they're way more understanding. Plus, it's much less hassle. I might go up to a friend and ask, “Hey, can I borrow a 20$?” and they'll say sure. It's a lot easier than going to a bank and asking the same thing. However, the downside is that your friend my turn out to be like a human bank.

Yes, that's right, a human bank. A normal, understanding friend may actually forget completely about that money, where as your other friend would probably have written down in his ledger. Remember, if you're borrowing a huge or relatively large amount of money, you should always pay back as soon as you can. There is nothing like late money to sour a relationship with a good friend. Also always remember to borrow from friends who can live without that money. Otherwise, you'll get distressing calls begging for you to return the money. That is not a pretty sight, my friend, as you know you need the money as much as he does. Not that I haven't seen my friend so worried, you perhaps might think he's having a seizure.
