Tip #1
Set up a budget and stick with it. You can do this by setting up a goal as to how you plan to spend your money and put aside a certain amount as your savings. This will enable you to know where your money is going from every dollar you spend. Using these methods consistently will enable you to manage your money very well.
Tip #2
Pay off all credit card debts that you owe. Credit card debt is considered the main obstacle in getting ahead financially. It is so temping to spend for purchases that may appeal to us, but often times we go over our credit limit that we end up with a huge bill that we most likely will not be able to payback. If you do own a credit card, you should really plan to spend only what you are capable of paying back immediately after your next payday. If you don't own a credit card, I recommend you don't get one unless you really need it for emergency expenses.
Tip #3
Develop a savings plan by setting aside a minimum of %5 or 10% of your salary before taking care of your other financial obligations. It is ideal that you get a savings account if you do not yet have one, that way your money is stored away safely. If you spend your money on bills and other expenses before seeing what's left over to put aside, you will never have a decent amount of money left over for your savings account.
