Discount coupons can help to reduce your cost of living as well as give you the opportunity to try new products. Here's how to find coupons for the products you use.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could cut down on your food costs as well as your overall cost of living? One easy way to do this is to collect discount coupons for the items that you use on a regular basis. These coupon deals can be found in a variety of places, some of which you may not have considered. Here are some places to find discount coupons for saving money at your grocery store as well as a variety of other retail stores:

On the packaging of products you already use.

Always check the box and packaging of any products that you use to see if there's a coupon to be clipped. It may be located anywhere on the box or even inside the label. Make it a habit to check all packaging before you throw it away.

Store displays

When you visit your local grocery store, be on the lookout for tear-off coupons displayed near the product they're designed for. You may be able to save money that very day.

Magazines

Magazines are an excellent source for coupons of all types. Some magazines that commonly have discount coupons include Good Housekeeping, Woman's Day, and Family Circle. You may also want to check for used copies of these magazines at yard sales and for sale at your local library book store. Be sure that the coupons haven't expired before purchasing the magazines.

You local newspaper

Your Sunday paper will generally be your richest source for discount coupons, although you may find some in your weekday newspaper also. Generally, you'll find groups of coupon sheets inserted into your Sunday paper. Make it a habit to ask your friends and neighbors to save the coupons for you if they're unable to use them.

If you are particularly fond of a product, go to their website and send them an email expressing your delight at how well their product performs for you. Likewise, if you have a problem or complaint about a product, let the company know about it. In both cases, you're likely to be sent a store coupon good for your next purchase of one of their products.

Online resources

There are a variety of online forums available where you can trade coupons with other people as well as websites where you can get printable coupons for a variety of products. To find these resources, do a Google search for “coupon savings” or “coupon websites”.
