Penny Pinching

A penny saved is a penny earned. And penny pinching is great to have extra cash.

Penny pinching, normally referred to those who are cheap and not very willing to give up money and also related to Mr. Eboneezer Scrooge. But penny pinching has created the best way to save that money for something that is wanted. The easiest way to earn that extra buck. I am sure that many people have heard the old saying “A penny saved is a penny earned.” It’s true. In a week you could have five dollars sitting in pennies ready to be rolled.

Now a days people rely on credit and debit cards. That makes this very hard to just put the pennies away but there is an up side. As the internet and it’s resources keep growing Paypal has become extremely popular. Finding the way to save those pennies could be easier then you think. Save the pennies that do land in your pocket but also look at your accounts. If you have that extra odd amount of cents why not send that to your Paypal account? That way it’s out of sight out of mind. The less money that you see and the less that you have available the less you spend. It has been said to me in financial classes and even in high school that you should have a years worth of expenses saved for the “just in case” times where you really need it. I don’t know of anyone who actually saves that much. Although I do know a couple that do save two months worth and they happen to be very optimistic.

People are normally surprised when they use cash over credit and/or debit when they have a full pocket of change. The normal reaction when purchasing, is not having to count out the change that sits in your pocket, thus creating you to pull out that cash in paper state so that you don’t seem to be scrounging. With that you’ll find that you can actually save your self from spending fifty to a hundred and fifty dollars a month. Think about what that could do for emergencies after a few months of doing that very same thing.

Money gets tricky. You won’t always have the money to do what you want but as long as you have the money that you need that’s what matters. As someone who penny pinches, it’s worth doing. I have managed to save three hundred dollars in one month with penny pinching.
