Here are some tried and true methods:
- Search around the house. Grab a cardboard box and rifle through your closets, drawers, kids rooms and anywhere valuable items might be hiding. If you are grabbing someone else's stuff, get their approval. Sort through you box or "Treasures" and decide what to sell. Larger items can be recorded on a pad of paper. Now decide HOW to sell them. Collectibles and antiques? Try Ebay, Craigslist and classifieds. Small items, old movies, CD's, toys, etc? Garage sale, Swap Meet, etc. If you need a tax deduction, try donating leftover items to charity.
- Part time job. Try writing online for extra cash. Blogs, articles and original works are potentially worth $$ online! Check out this site (Triond) for lists of places to sell writing!
- Get a Metal Detector. They are available second hand: Classifieds, pawn shop, etc. Dig for treasure! Be sure to ask permission and don't trespass!
- Sell bodily fluids/ Medical Research. Selling Blood, Plasma, Semen, etc. Also, taking part in medical research can pay $$.
- Odd Jobs. Driving around with a pick up truck, shovels, rakes, a lawn mower, etc. Knock on doors and ask for work. Haul junk to the landfill, weed flower beds, misc. painting, etc.
