It was a dreary, wet afternoon and I was at home. I was out of work and had no money. I put my hand in my pocket and pulled out a one dollar bill. I determined there and then that I was going to use this one dollar bill as the starting point for earning my fortune.
DAY 1
I took my one dollar bill and walked into the fruit market near where I lived and bought four red apples at 25 cents each. That same day, I sold those four red apples for 50 cents each and made a one dollar profit.
DAY 2
The next day I went back to the fruit market and bought eight red apples with my two dollars and went out that same day and sold each apple for 50 cents, doubling my money again.
DAY 3
I now had four dollars and ecided that this was working a treat, so I took my money and vsited the fruit market once more, buying sixteen red apples for 25 cents each and selling them on for 50 cents which now gave me eight dollars. I had doubled my money yet again.
DAY 4
With my eight dollars in hand, I was just about to leave to make my way to the fruit market to purchase thirty two red apples for 25 cents each and then sell them for 50 cents and double my money, when the phone rang. It was a call from a lawyer in the city telling me a rich uncle had died and left me a million dollars!
I took my eight dollars and went for breakfast and a few weeks later bought a big house, a yacht and a fancy car. That's how I became a millionaire! See what hard work does for you!
