More ways to save yourself some money on fuel. |
- Modern cars have all kinds of gadgets but by careful driving you'll be using much less fuel. Chill out a bit, turn up the tunes and be a bit less heavy on the gas, and wow loads of extra miles.
- Check out your cars handbook and find out it's most economical speed?
- Try this, keep a slightly longer gap from the vehicle in front and when coming up to lights ease off the gas earlier and change down and coast up to the lights. Try to time it right and keep the vehicle moving saving tons of fuel.
- A local company has their own huge fuel storage tank and it lets the staff fill up at weekends at cost - need a nice boss though.
- My mate's got an old Mini and boasts a full tank is only about £17 - cool Dude. Get a cult small car!
- Switch off when in long traffic jams - save around a litre an hour.
