One of the best ways to save money and wear and tear on the environment is to recycle. Many recycle centers pay small amounts of cash for certain metals, the most common is aluminum. You can take your old empty soda cans to be recycled, they are only worth a few cents a pound. But, if your cans are being recycled they are not going into a landfill. And, a few cents at a time adds up over time.
Another great Way to save on cash is to save on energy. Think about how much you spend in a year to heat water for laundry. Now, try turning the heat on your washing machine down to cold or warm/cold instead of hot. Your clothes will still be clean and your wallet will be just a little fuller. Its also wist to keep an eye on wasted electricity. Leaving the house for the day? Take an extra five minutes before you go to make sure every television, radio, light, and appliance is off. I think you'll be surprised by the difference you'll see on your electric bill.
Over packaging can have a high price on on your bank account and our environment. Yogurt, gelatin, pudding and many other items cost allot more when they are individually packaged. An easy way to save is to buy these items in family size containers and dish out portions yourself, this results in less expense for the consumer, and less garbage in overcrowded landfills. Just think your throwing away less packaging, this even saves you on how much you spend a year in trash bags! The same savings can apply to items like cheese, potato chips, cookies, and countless other snack items.
An excellent way to save on your internet access is to get someone else to pay for it. Consider searching out "paid to surf" sites. You download their tool bar witch runs ads on the top or bottom of your browser while you're online. You get paid to view these ads even if you don't click on them! You could take the money you make each month from your chosen "paid to surf" program and put it into your bill.
None of these cash saving tips will save you an immediate fortune. But, over time you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you're able to cut back on your expenses.
