With gas prices soaring, try to cut down on gas-use with these easy tips.
Look through your car and remove all unwanted items. You could even consider removing the spare tire and jack and buy a car tire puncture repair kit which will inflate and seal leaks in the tire so that you can keep on driving. You can find those kits pretty much anywhere.
Get a good air filter. This might cost a little but it will save you even more.
Get your car serviced. Your car will be in a better condition after the service and will save you money.
If you go shopping take the first spot you can find. Driving through the car park will take time and consume gas, especially if you have to stop all the time.
Rack on your roof and not in use? Take them off and enjoy saving again a little more gas.
If you plan to go to multiple shops walk to them if possible. This will save you loads of gas and will give you the chance to have a nice little walk.
Park in the shade. This means you are less likely to switch on the air con when you come back from shopping.
Switch off your air con. Try winding down your windows first. If this doesn't work then close all windows and switch on the air con. Slowly lower the temperature until it is cool enough.
Check your tire pressure. Under-inflated tires need replacing quicker and will lower your gas mileage.
Don't drive a car. Walk and use public transport. This will save you 100% gas, 100% tax and 100% insurance.
