Here are some questions to find out before thinking about moving out of state.
- Do I have enough money?
- Do I have a house or an apartment, etc?
- Where are the children going to go to school?
- How far away is everything forms my home, from home to school, to the stores, etc?
- Do I need a car? What is my mode of transportation? Could it be the bus or car pool?
- When I move am I driving a U-haul, or am I having a moving company come in or am I going to sell everything I have an buy new?
- Over all what is cost effective?
- How many miles am I going to my new place?
- Is my bank or school transferable? If not what is the right school or bank for me?
- What about a job? That is the first thing to think about. Is my job transferable?
- If the job is transferable, that is good if not how I am going to find one. First things first look on Google jobs, yahoo.com, and crags' list for jobs. Maybe even MySpace. Alternatively, call and get the emplacement ads and have them mailed to you.
- Plus another thing is food what is the cost of food and gas in that state that you want to move to? Getting a newspaper is a key to find out how much the expenses would be for the new place. Do not want to be caught off guard.
- What are the taxes of the city that you want to move to?
- Plus think about the hospitals, etc
Moving is a difficult time but if it is planned carefully then there will not be any surprises. Best thing to do is write down everything every question that you would like to ask and go down the list from most important to least important on the list. That way it will be a little bit easier to make a decision to move or to stay. I know for me it's hard to move because the area I have been at all my life I am used to I can not think about anything else but where I am at. But a changed would be nice. I would be asking these questions before moving somewhere I do not know. Try it never know it might just work. It is worth a try!
