To Be or Not to Be a Career Women?

Unfortunately, no matter how qualified you are or how bright of a mind you have, if a women is married, all her actions, even the very positive ones, are directly related to her husband. She is helpless to decide anything for herself, especially in Eastern society.

It is so annoying when you want to do something different & want to utilize your potential to bring positive changes within your life & environment & can't do anything to satisfy this innocent desire.

Though there are a lot of advantages in eastern society for women that lack in Western world but it is not fair with educated women who have full potential in a country like Pakistan where there is a need of people especially women to come up and contribute their part in the society instead of wasting their talents by sitting home & do nothing. A lot of highly educated men who encourage their daughters to get the very best education & motivate them to become career women, but at the same time they discriminate their wives in similar terms. They never appreciate them to become career women.

They always get successful by convincing them that you don't need do something for them. They never want them do something which they can be known for? They are probably afraid of their success. How this discrimination will be over? Even rarely if wives get a chance to do something some how husbands put all the credit of everything in their basket means that they take whole credit of their hard work. Wives are unpaid assistances who never get any stipend not even form of appreciation. If women themselves want to convince their husbands that they want to step ahead and work. Wives loose this battle without even starting when husbands start black mailing them that either they can choose them or their career?

It's a matter of fact that in our country there are a lot of lady doctors & professional degrees holders who are just sitting home and not utilizing their talents even 10 %. All their hard work to complete their first class degrees is wasting.

Who is going to take action to defend women's careers in this regard?

I found your article interesting. It seems a waste of talented women to keep women from succeeding in society. I find Middle Eastern cultures very fascinating and mysterious at the same time. It will probably take an uprising with women to get them noticed. This is what happens in history when a race or sex is mistreated. I hope a peaceful one. My prayers are with the women of Middle East.
