Feng Shui Anyone?

Feng Shui tips when buying a new house.

I am planning to purchase a new house. And I consulted a Feng Shui Master to guide me on my purchase. For some of you who still do not know who a Feng Shui Master is, he/she is the one who practices Feng Shui, he/she is synonymous to Feng Shui practitioner or geomancer. The word Feng Shui on the other hand literally translated as wind and water. Feng Shui is a methodology or practice used in assessing the qualities of a location or property and its effects on the occupant. It is usually known as Chinese geomancy.

  • Anyway, during the process of my consultancy with my Feng Shui Master, I was surprise on some of his advice regarding the location, position as well as the design of the interior as well as exterior of my future house. I like to share to you some of his Feng Shui advice.
  • When buying a house, try to know the history of the property. Avoid property that once a site of a funeral parlor, cemetery, slaughterhouse, hospital, temple, church or police station. According to the Feng Shui Master, the negative vibes of these properties still abound and will continue to haunt the new occupants even if this will be renovated.
  • The house should not be built on top of an abandoned "water well". It is worse if the well was filled-up by garbage or other filling materials like debris from earthquake shaken building where many people have died. If this is so, the occupants of the property will suffer from recurring sickness, accidents, and misfortune.
  • The main entrance or the main gate of the property could also affect the health and fortune of the occupants. Your main door should not face a funeral parlor, cemetery, slaughterhouse, hospital, temple, church or police station since these can cause sickness, incidence of death and strange happenings to the occupants. Large electric post, water tank and even trees should not block or partly block your main entrance since this will drive away the positive energy from entering the house.
  • Your main gate/entrance should not be directly in-line with your neighbors main gate/entrance. The house with a larger entrance/gate will suck in more fortune from the street than the one with a smaller entrance.

These are just few of my new learning from my Feng Shui Master, there are still many things that I have learned (and still learning) regarding Feng Shui. Some of the interesting ones are the Feng Shui violations and how to Feng Shui remedies. I will share you those topics on my next blog. Till then.
