Olive oil is probably best known as something you use for cooking, and it’s normally found in the kitchen, but it actually has many other uses that have nothing to do with cooking.
Shaving Cream
Have you ever found yourself without shaving cream? If you happen to have olive oil then you're in luck because it makes a great substitute for shaving cream.
Foot Cream
Our feet often have the tendency to become dry and cracked, especially during the winter months. An easily solution for this problem is olive oil. Rub a little on your feet like lotion and it will soften up those crusty feet.
Hair Conditioner
Hair issues are a big thing, especially for women. No one likes a bad hair day. If you rub a dab of olive oil in dry hair it works as a conditioner. It makes your hair shiny and smooth.
Hairball Solution
This one is particularly important for cat owners. Hairballs are a common problem in cats. Just add a couple teaspoons of olive oil into a can of your cat's food and your furry family members will be hairball free in no time.
Bath Ingredient
Do you have dry skin? Rub a little olive oil onto your skin or add a little to your bath water. You can take a relaxing bath and soothe your dry skin at the same time.
Floor Polish
You can even use olive oil to polish your floors. Just add three parts olive oil to one part white vinegar and get to work. Your floors will be clean and shiny in no time.
Makeup Remover
Commercial makeup removers can be expensive and some of them don't work very well. Olive oil is an inexpensive solution. Use it just like you would use a normal makeup remover. It works great.
Manicure Soak
Are you thinking about giving yourself a manicure? Mix some olive oil with water for a pre-manicure soak. It will soften up your hands and cuticles.
Snoring Solution
Do you keep your spouse up at night with your snoring? Drink a small amount (just a quick sip) of olive oil and it will lubricate your throat and stop the snoring.
Lice Remover
Olive oil is also a great way to get rid of lice. The commercial lice shampoos are expensive and a lot of the time they don't work. Saturating the hair with olive oil will suffocate the little critters.
