Ten Things to Do with an Old Sock

What do you do with your old socks? Don't throw them away, they might just come in useful.

  1. Fill it with rice, or wheat and use as a heat pad. Heat for a couple of minutes in a microwave.
  2. Use to dust your PC and other awkward areas. Just slip your hand inside the sock, and dust.
  3. Make a sock puppet for a child.
  4. Fill with catnip and make a toy for a cat.
  5. Push a tennis ball into the bottom and make a throw toy for a dog.
  6. Fill with stones to make a doorstop.
  7. Hide you jewellery in it.
  8. Fill with left over bits of soap and use in the washing machine for delicate fabrics.
  9. Fill with lavender from the garden and use to scent drawers and cupboards.
  10. Transport fine glasses safely. Put a glass into each sock and use to wrap it up. It will protect it during transit.

Wel, IcyCucky, you could pus your fingers through the holes to make arms, or legs for the sock puppet! LOL!

You may also use socks as white board wipers! ;) and you can rewash them to reuse.

Use the old socks to shine shoes. Works very well.
