Seven Creative Uses of Orange

Ever thought orange could be "used," or is it just a fruit to be eaten?

  1. Healthy Popsicles

“Mom! Can I please have that popsicle over there?”. “No son, it contains a lot of sugar! Let's buy something else.”

Worried of these typical dialogues? Well, why don't you try making your own Popsicle… at home! Its easy! You could use orange juice itself, of even toss in a little vanilla yoghurt and create a delicious, creamy Popsicle for yourself.
  2. Flavor your grilled chicken

Another great use of orange juice is to flavor that mouth-watering chicken on the grill. Instead of using beer, use a glass of orange juice. The juice flavors up the whole chicken by vaporizing and the steam produced adds that final touch of an orange.
  3. Ice

The summer heat is up and things are really getting cooked up. Why don't you slurp into an ice cube? But not just a plain one, let it be flavored! Plus, you can have your little icy treat in any shape possible. It all depends on the type of container you are going to use. Plus, you could also add an extra beat to your ice treat by sipping up a nice citrus drink.
  4. Cakes

Fizz up those homemade cakes with a touch of orange juice. Not only does it add to the tangy tang, it also tastes real good. Try it out! When you prepare the mixture (sugar, butter, flour, etc.) add the orange juice, mix it up well, and pour it out onto your baking tray. You'll be having a nice orange flavored cake once it is baked.
  5. Marinade

You could also use orange juice to add a little tang to your dishes, preferably chicken. Why only orange? Be creative! Mix up some citrus together and bring out a delicious recipe of your own!
  6. Add a slight scent of orange

Get into the summer feeling on a winter day! Don't throw away those orange peels, instead burn them in your fireplace and within no time, your house will be just like an orange.
  7. Relieve

Relieve that sore skin on your feet or on your hands. Just rub the peels on the sore area and relax. It works well when you dip the peels in hot water. You can place them anywhere you want. Plus, if you want some more relaxation, soak the peels in hot water for quite some time and just place your legs in. You might as well doze off to a good sleep.

Just remember… it's all in the “Orange”.
