Toothpaste isn't just for keeping your teeth healthy and clean. It has many other household uses. The suggestions listed below were all tested out using Colgate Toothpaste (the non gel, non-whitening variety.)
- Toothpaste can be used to clean the plate of the iron you use on your clothes. These tend to get scorched, or marked with melted fabric if you happen to burn something as you iron it. They also get watermarks and calcium deposits from water in the grooves on the plates (steam iron). Toothpaste can rubbed onto the sole plate of a cold iron, left for a few minutes and wiped away. Heat the iron up and rub it over a piece of old cloth to complete the cleaning process.
