Many Uses for Dairy Products

Dairy products like milk, yogurt, butter and ghee give strength and nourish our body. Not only they are helpful in maintaining our health, but there are other uses for dairy products.

Milk:

Removes Ink Stains

To remove ink stains soak the garment in milk overnight and wash it the next day with detergent.

As a Polish to Silverware

Add a few drops of vinegar to fresh milk and soak the silverware in it for half an hour, then wash with warm water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can find your silverware glazing.

Shines Leather Accessories

Pour some drops of milk on leather ware like belts, shoes and purses and rub with a fine cloth. You will find them shining.

Makes Frozen Fish Fresh and Soft

Placing the frozen fish in milk for an hour softens the fish and makes them taste fresh.

Relieves From Sunburns

Apply a few drops of milk on sun burns or insects bites to get relief from the pain.

Mends Cracked China

Keep the cracked china in a pan and pour some milk and boil it for 30 minutes in a low flame. You can see the cracks mended wonderfully.

Bleaching Agent

Mix a 10ml of milk and 5 ml of lime juice and apply to face and body to get a natural glow.

Skin Toner

Dip a cotton ball in raw milk and wipe it on face, neck and hands; wash it after 10 minutes. This is very helpful in retaining the moisture of skin.

Yogurt:

As Nail Caring Agent

Mix some yogurt with lemon juice and keep it in refrigerator for some time. Massage your hands and nails with the mixture to make your hands soft and to give your nails a shine.

Reduces Sunburn

Apply cold yogurt on sunburn to relieve from the pain.

Keeps Your Pets From Flatulence

Mix 2 to 3 tea spoons of yogurt to the food of pets for keeping them away from flatulence.

Skin Softener

Mix a cup of yogurt, petals of five roses and two spoons of talcum powder and apply on your face. Leave on for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Butter:

Get Rid of Bad Odor From Hands

Rub some butter on your hands; wash with soap and warm water to keep your hands fresh after dealing with fish.

Keeps Leftover Onion Fresh

If you use half onion for recipe and want to keep the remaining half fresh, rub butter on it to keep it fresh longer.

Consume Pills With Ease

When kids find it difficult to swallow pills let the pills roll in butter so that they slide down easily.

Removes Glue From Hands

Rub butter to your hands while cutting sticky vegetables like raw banana, pumpkin etc. to prevent your hands from being sticky.

Ghee:

Mild Burns

Apply ghee immediately after a burn to prevent blisters and scarring.

Recipes

Use ghee in recipes as ghee helps in maintaining the mucus lining of the stomach.
