Hanging a mirror on a wall is not just a necessity but it enhances the look of the room. A perfectly placed mirror adds beauty to the room and it makes the room look larger.
If you don't hang the mirror correctly, it doesn't look good at all, however beautiful it might be. By following few steps while hanging a mirror on the wall, you can add beauty to the wall.
First choose the best mirror that suits the wall of your room. Don't just go to the shop and bring the attractive one. Just think about the color of the wall and make sure that the mirror suits the wall and color of the room. Same thing applies with the size of the mirror too. Buy the mirror with the size that suits the spare area in your room.
If you like a large mirror, think whether there is any space for hanging such a big mirror. It would go waste if you don't have the place to hang it. In the same way, if youu want to hang a mirror on a large wall, don't buy a small mirror just because it looks beautiful. A small mirror hanged on a large wall looks awkward. While buying a mirror keep in mind the size of the wall and the spare space available.
When you have bought a mirror, on a large paper, trace the shape of the mirror. Cut the paper in the shape of the sketch and place the paper on different places of the wall. By doing this, choose the best place where the mirror suits to be hanged. Don't forget to mark the hangers of the mirror too while drawing the shape of the mirror.
Move the paper to different positions on the wall and choose the best position. You can use a track tape to fix the paper on the wall so that you can check it from a distance. Be sure to adjust the paper so that the middle of the mirror is on level with your eyes.
When you have finalized the correct place to hang the mirror, fix the paper in the place with plasters and with the help of a hammer, fix the screw on the place you have earlier marked on the paper. Nail directly through the paper. You can take off the paper by ripping it away later. You can also use a chain alternatively if you are placing the mirror on a stud.
Be careful while fixing the nail on the wall. Fix the nail perfectly as it may cause damage to the mirror if not fixed well. Take off the paper and fix the mirror to the nail.
Arrange the mirror perfectly by adjusting it from the sides. You can check for the perfection by seeing the mirror from many corners across the room.
