When you do try to remove a stain from your clothing, do not use hot water as the higher the temperature, the more likely it will set any stains. I have used hairspray to remove stains on many different occasions and was pleasantly surprised at how effort free the mark disappeared.
While there are many products you can purchase for stain removing purposes, if you are without one of them at a moment when you need one and you have hairspray on hand, it is just one of those nice things to know about. And, sometimes, hairspray is often cheaper than a stain removing product. In addition, hairspray is multi-functional. You cannot use stain remover as hairspray! Multi-functional products save you time and money.
And, keep in mind that it is always best to treat a stain as soon as it happens. The longer it sits the harder the stain will be to remove. It is not always impossible to remove it, but it becomes more difficult. So, don't give up on you clothing before you attempt a few things that can save them!
