Salt is just one of the many inexpensive and all natural ways of cleaning in the household. Apart from its cheap price, its availability in the kitchen makes it even friendlier to moms. Salt is a very good stain remover proven even before the times of our grandmothers.
Here are just some of the many uses of salt:
Perspiration Stains
Remove it by presoaking the garment in water with salt.
Coffee Stains
Due to frequent use of cups of mugs for coffee. To get rid of coffee stains in the mug or inside coffeepot, add 4 teaspoon of salt, 1 cup crushed ice and 1 tablespoon of warm water. Leave it for a minute to absorb. After which, swirl until the stains are removed, rinse and wipe with dry cloth.
Fabric Softener
We can use the salt to soften our new pair of jeans by adding ½ cup of salt in your regular laundry detergent.
Isn't it nice to know that there are products which are readily available in our kitchen that we can use for those stains?
