There are several uncommon uses for baking soda. Here are 10 out of them.
Prevents Body Odor
Dusting some baking soda under your arms removes body odor.
Softens Meat
Keep the meat in refrigerator for four hours after giving it a rubdown in baking soda. Then wash thoroughly and cook. You can taste the tenderizing meat.
Reduces Acids in Soups
Add a pinch of baking soda while cooking tomato-based soups or sauces to reduce acids in it.
Cleans Fruits and Begetables
Add one tablespoon baking soda to some water. Then wash vegetables and fruits in that water to clean more effectively.
Effective Refrigerator Cleaner
Clean your refrigerator with a wet sponge after sprinkling some baking soda on it. Keep a fresh box of baking soda in refrigerator to remove bad odors.
Cleans a Thermos Effectively
Add some baking soda to liter water. Fill that water in your thermos to remove the residue from it effectively.
For a Crispy Cake or Bread
Add a pinch of baking soda to the dough while making cake or bread for the crispiness of them.
Removes Oil Spots
Make a thick paste of baking soda. Rub it on the greasy spots on the stove tops and kitchen walls with a wet cloth. Then clean with another fresh dry cloth.
Removes All Stains
Baking soda can remove every stain either on furniture or on clothes. Clean with a damp sponge by sprinkling some baking soda on it to remove crayon, pencil and ink stains from painted surfaces.
Antacid
Stomach upset? Stir ¼ or ½ spoon baking soda in ½ cup water and drink it. It works quickly by working as an antacid, but use it occasionally.

Good tips, another one you might not know, add a tsp.of soda while cooking dried beans. It will reduce gas.

another use is is adding it to your laundry detergent it will work wonders and you can cut your detergent in half. 1/4c. of Baking soda and the the rest laundry detergent and it is great for taking smells out of dogs when bathing just remember rinse well and keep out of eyes.
