Loads of plastic bags at home? Then don't pollute the environment by throwing them away. Put them to good use.
Plastic is a non-biodegradable material. So instead of polluting your environment, put those plastic bags to good use.
AROUND THE HOUSE
Cracked flower vase: Is your flower vase leaking the water you put in
it? Then just line the inside with a plastic bag.
Treat scaly hands: If your hands are rough and scaly, just rub some
petroleum jelly on them and keep them wrapped
in plastic bags for 15 minutes and then remove the
bags to feel your revived, soft skin.
Dry kids' mattresses: For those with toddlers, just line the mattresses
or car seats with plastic bags. This can even be
applied for those with kids coming home by car
after swimming.
Party decorations: Party time at your home? Need decorations? Then
cut plastic bags off their holds, and cut length-wise
till the bottom. Then just stick the bottom to the wall.
You can stick confetti for more effect
IN THE KITCHEN
Ripen fruits: You brought fruits just a few minutes back, but now you
realize that they aren't ripe as yet. What you need to do is
just store them in a plastic bag.
Mixing bowl: Don't have a mixing bowl? Then just take a plastic bag and
keep all the ingredients in it. Wrap it up and gently shake.
Dry greens: If you've washed a lettuce and need to dry it, then line a
plastic bag with a towel and place the lettuce in it. Call
you kids and ask them to spin the bag in the air, holding
it with the hands!
IN THE YARD
Protect plants from frost: Just wrap your plants with plastic bags to
protect them from frost.
Clean a grill easily: The barbecue last night was a big hit, but now you
have a messy grill to clean! All you have to do is
take the racks off and place them in a large plastic
bag or a garbage bag. Spray oven cleaner on the
grill and cover it with a bag. Then spray in the bag
with the racks and close the bag. Leave this
overnight, and get back clean grill parts the next
day. Remember to move your face away from the
bags when opening them!
Protect your shoes from mud: Just cover your shoes with plastic bags
and even muddy rain water can't touch
your shoes!

Good tips, especially the one on the grill. What a wonderful way to help the earth. I'm not sure about the flower vase though, because lots of times shipping bags leak too.

I don't think I understand the one about lining children's mattresses and car seats with them. Shouldn't plastic bags be kept away from children? Maybe I am missing something here...?
