Here are some uses you may or may not have thought of for using duct tape. The simple idea that duct tape can fix anything is quite humorous (although often true), but here are some serious and handy ideas that i have seen or heard about.
- Make a wallet. Using simply paper or cardboard, you can easily make a wallet that will be just as strong as leather, and it's your own custom design!
- Wax that hair. Most of those leg or face waxes are expensive, and you don't get much out of them. A roll of duct tape is strong enough to do the job and you get plenty of it in a roll.
- Tape computer wires. If you are annoyed with computer wires getting in the way, brushing against you annoyingly or just plain unsightly, tape them up and you wont have to worry about them anymore.
- Keep your computer dust free. Apart from the vents your computer needs to breath, tape up any areas you notice are building up lint and dust, especially rarely used usb ports and such so they stay clean until you need them.
- Patch a tent or umbrella. Going camping or out in the rain and realize you have holes in your water protection gear? Save your money and patch them up!
- Oil leak temporary fix. If your car is leaking oil and you can get to where it is leaking, clean around the area and duct tape it until you can get to a garage. especially with today's prices it's worth a few days of savings.
- Fly paper. Fly Paper is also expensive when compared to how much you get out of duct tape. sprinkle a bit of sugar or honey on it and it will do the job. also you can use it instead of a bug zapper and in places where you notice bugs under cupboards and such.
Now these are just a few handy uses, and hopefully some you can use this.
