Interior design and simplicity. Is something that you normally don’t hear. Guys best friend will be me. I don’t believe that interior design should be drastic and wild. The more that you add to something and the more complex that the design becomes the more confusing it is to visitors and eventually the person that enjoys adding on to design to try and make a design complete.
With everything going on what the design of everything is now, it is perceived that more is part of design. I truly believe that more is clutter and a way for designers to make more money. With all that a person could do for interior design without spending a fortune I only see that some people believe that more means less. I am saying that less is more.
I am not saying that you can’t get that new couch or that you can’t have a fancy coffee table if you really want it. What I am saying is that with the right wall and trim colors, and the right wall hangings, such as pictures and paintings. You really don’t need five end tables, two coffee tables, three recliners, two love seats and two couches.
If there has been one thing that I learned in my endeavor to find the prefect interior design the worse I got more and more things that I just kept not looking at the room and the size. I made it so that you could barely move and that you would get a headache being in my home. Now I enjoy having company over because I went to the trouble of removing half of what I had and painted in a more warm and welcoming color.
If you try to do that you really might be surprised in how well it works. You might also find that having company over is even better because they can concentrate on the conversations other than all the clutter and excess design that has been added to what could have been the perfect room.
