How to Get Rid of Cockroaches the Non-toxic & Cheap Way

Non-toxic and most economical way to get rid of cockroaches.

If you have cockroaches in your house and have been trying to get rid of them for a while, then you probably afraid of getting the toxic chemicals from the sprays or baits. Here's the safe way and perhaps the most economical way to get rid of cockroaches.

First, go find an empty tall glass bottle such as wine or liquor bottle and take off the cap, rinse with water and leave it dry. Then find some cooking oil (preferably from the leftover or fried foods). Fill the greasly oil into the bottle for at least 4-5 table spoons. Also apply it inside the bottle by shaking the bottle evenly couple times. This is to make it slippery for the cockroaches to get into the bottle but cannot get out.

Once finished, put the bottle near the wall or the corner of the room which the cockroaches will come. Turn off the light and leave it over night. In the morning, you'll see couple cockroaches trapped inside the bottle. If you don't see any cockroaches, you may leave it for another night or move the bottle to other places. Alternatively, you may put couple more bottles until you don't see the cockroaches any more. Repeat this procedure whenever you see them in your house.

Remember, besides using this method to get rid of cockroach, you should also keep your house clean and tidy.

we have lived in this house for 16 years and have never had cockroaches.. I have seen 4 in the last two months.. two in the bathroom and two in the kitchen.. does that constitute an infestation?

Yes, definitely, that\'s a sign of an infestation.

You may also want to look at the part 2 of this story for another alternative way to get rid of the roaches.
