In today's world we want to "go green" while still cleaning and disinfecting our home. The trick is to find a way to do both at the same time without compromising the effectiveness and spending any more time doing it than we have to. What would you think if I told you that there is a way to clean everything faster and better without spending a lot of time or using harsh chemicals? I have found a way to do it and at the same time I let my five year old use all of these products to help me clean. Not to mention I let him eat almost all of what I use. Can you say the same?
The first thing I use is the most important thing I have in my life (next to my family). I use the Rainbow Cleaning System for everything. The Rainbow is a water based cleaning system that is not only an air purifier, humidifier/dehumidifier, air freshener, but also a full cleaning system. I use mine to replace my vacuum, broom, mop and most of the other cleaning tools in my home. We all know that all a broom does is push dust and dirt around but did you know that 40% of everything you vacuum is blown back out throw the exhaust. How clean is your home if most of the newer vacuums are still putting out all of this dirt and dust into our rooms? I also dust, scrub my walls, clean all my electronics and scrub my floors and carpets. I have replaced all of my dusting tools and cleaners with this one unit. If you truly want a clean home than buying a Rainbow should be your first step.
My next sets of cleaning weapons are the easiest and best on the market. Let's take a trip to the kitchen and collect some baking soda, salt, lemon juice, vinegar, oranges, lemons, and tea. Now you should be set for the best cleaning your house has ever seen! For the toughest stains like iron water stains, mildew, and stuck on food and grime you should use and half and half mixture of baking soda and salt in combinations with pure lemon juice (for hard and durable surfaces) or vinegar (for delicate porcelains). I cleaned the tank of a toilet that had 10 years of iron water build up with this combination in less than 15 minutes! Salt is used as an abrasive and may scratch some surfaces. The acid in the lemon and orange juice and vinegar helps to disinfect and cut through dirt and grime. A teaspoon of lemon juice and baking soda in a spray bottle filled with a letter of hot water will replace your counter cleaner. We must not forget our tea, take a one letter bottle of hot water and add a tea bag for a minute (being careful to make a weak tea solution). Now use this solution to clean your glass and make sure to wipe off your glass with a dry lint free rag to get a streak free shine every time.
Can you change make these simple changes? Are you willing to do everything it takes to make your life better? It took me less than a week to change over to the right ways of cleaning. I didn't change to these products because of the "green" I changed because they were working better than anything I bought in the stores. A cup of hot water and a Rainbow cleans almost everything my kids spill on my white carpet (yes, red juice)! Nothing took off that horrid ring in my toilet until I used lemon juice, baking soda and salt. I love going green and now I'm not afraid of letting my kids use these cleaners. My life has been made easier and better and yours could be too!
