Every day people use more energy than they need, then after they wonder why the monthly energy bill is so high. Well I do have some tips for you that can help you reduce your bill cost.
There are many appliances that use up a lot of energy for example your TV, electric stove, Refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, dryers, dishwashers. You always have to remember to try using the appliance for a limited time (By turning it off when no one is using it). Here are a couple of tips that will help you reduce energy usage.
1. Install an automatic thermostat and set it to follow your schedule. If no one is home during the day, so don't leave the furnace/heater on when no one's home.
2. Check your air vents for leaks because the leaks can overheat one area in your home and leave another area cold.
3. Make sure the standby feature on your home computer, home appliances is turned on.
4. Fix broken plumbing or dripping faucets.
5. Think about buying storm/thermal windows and doors or double-paned glass.
6. Plug any air gaps (usually small) in your house to reduce energy cost.
7. Remember to replace or clean your furnace filters monthly during high-operating season, but a minimum of four times a year. And keep your furnace clean, lubricated and properly adjusted.
