There are so many beautiful colors we can decorate our homes with, but sometimes we don't know where to start.
Let me give you some ideas to make your home as lovely and colorful as you want it to be. Materials are not so expensive unless you go to designer stores. You can find beautiful fabric at good prices if you shop around. I like to use knit fabrics for my seat covers because it fits so well, but you can buy any kind that you like. Wal-Mart
is inexpensive, and they always have a good selection of material. I know high end decorators would shun Wal-Mart, but hey, most of us like the low prices.

Couch and chair covers are easy to make. Spread material over couch or chair to be covered. Tuck it in carefully to fit area. Hand stitch, and make sure it fits the way you want, then trim the excess, and sew on your sewing machine. If you have no sewing machine you can sew it by hand.
It just takes longer. If the bottom doesn't come down in a straight line, you can make a long ruffle or a straight piece of material to attach to the bottom to make a straight line on the floor. Fit the material around the pillows and cut to fit. Sew on three sides and leave one side open to insert the pillow, then tuck in the raw edges and sew together.
There you have beautifully covered furniture, a colorful living room, and you didn't have to spend a fortune to do it.
