The name of the company is “Great Insights”. I knew right away that the check was too good to be true and that it was all a scam. I was told in the letter that I needed to call Patricia Phillips (647) 436-1400 EXT: 3 for detailed instructions. The letter stated that I needed to complete a probation training task. I had to contact the office upon receipt of the check. Failure to comply would result in automatic stop payment order of check. Then I read about a breakdown of how funds should be spent. I had no earthly idea what this company was talking about and had never heard of the company. Besides, I never signed up for a job with them. If you ever receive a check from something you no nothing about, throw it away. Nine times out of ten, it is a fraud or the check is a forgery.
How did the company get my address? Sometimes I think it comes from filling out surveys online. That's when I began receiving so many telemarketing calls everyday. Now I am receiving junk in the mail. Beware of frauds.
