Finding a legitimate home business is almost impossible nowadays, considering the constantly growing number of scams out there. Not only that, but trying to maintain a successful home business can take a lot of effort and time, but most of all, resources. Of course this isn't completely true in all cases, due to the number of free traffic programs, free advertising programs, and all other kinds of Search engine optimization programs.
Even with the free programs though, the amount of time and effort required can be a bit daunting at times, which is what I'm here to help you out with. There are plenty of legitimate home businesses hidden within all of those scams you see, but sifting through the hypnotic marketing and fake "only 43 slots left!" tag lines can be tough.
On most work at home opportunity sites what do you see? Red Dashed border, yellow highlighted text, "Customer Satisfaction" images, and of course the number of times the price has been slashed (with the strike through even!). These are all sneaky ways of luring people in to buy a product that isn't really going to work. These methods are being used by ALL of the supposed internet gurus out there and I do NOT want you to fall for it! Trust me when I say that most of the ebooks that are for sale out there (usually $20-$40) are full of information that you could get ANYWHERE on the internet.
Why would you buy them then? NLP (Or Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is where the web designer uses specific imagery and colors to trick your mind into focusing on specific page elements so that you sub-consciously store information that will sway you towards buying the particular product.
Why isn't it illegal? I don't know, but I'm telling you right now, mind over matter, not to be cliche, will protect you from these landing pages. I have fallen for them before, but I no longer do, and to help protect the members of my community (that's you!) I must inform you to avoid these sites at all costs!
Finding the right business for you can and will take a little bit of research on your part, try some different things and see which ones you like the most. For me, it was Blogging, since it's easy, fun, and in most cases free. Along with that, I enjoy the rewarding feeling I get from helping people jump-start their online businesses and online money making. Blogging might not be for you, but try toying around with things that you have a heavily vested interest in. If you're a gamer, try video games, if you're a musician, try writing/selling music related material, or for whatever hobbies you might have.
To start I would suggest starting with freebies like Blogging since it takes no startup money or extreme time devotion, but if you try it and don't like it, you could open up an online store through PayPal's free shopping cart service and a website, which most people can make by themselves nowadays.
My best tip in this area is to EXPERIMENT! Try out everything, do some research on website marketing and promotion, and if that doesn't help, refer back to some of my previous articles! I highly suggest that if you're serious about trying to make money online and you need somewhere to start, go to Blogger and start up your own niched blog. Pick a topic that interests you so it will be easy to write about, and also pick a topic that is easy and fun to read about! I wish you all the best of luck in your Blogging and/or home business endeavors!
