Everyone wants to make a quick buck, but in the technological age it's no more Del Boy “get rich quick” schemes.
Paid Surveys
There are plenty of paid survey sites around. Ones which charge you to join will probably be better paying, but be careful, some sites that charge are link-sites, which will make no money for you directly, so spend your money carefully.
Paid email-reading
There are plenty of these too. Companies are desperate to advertise to you, but you needn't buy their products. Paid email schemes give you a small amount for opening and reading advertising emails. Sites like HTMail (htmail.com) pay reasonably and send you a new email everyday.
Freebies and Offers
Freebies and offers are a more difficult section. Most supposed freebie sites require you complete a paid offer to get your gift, so be careful. Choose an offer that either covers something you already need or requires the smallest payment. You can then sell off unwanted freebies on auction sites, getting you more money.
Pay-to-shop sites
If you're a regular online shopper, these can raise surprising benefits for you. They often link to sites offering more offers and gifts, or give further benefits. In the UK, Greasy Palm (greasypalm.co.uk) is perhaps one of the best, linking to several big chain shops and smaller boutiques as well as offers and survey sites.
Pay-to-publish sites
These are useful for the more creative among us. These sites pay a set fraction of the advertising revenue to you from pages you publish on, be it pictures or text. If you're a small time writer, photographer or if you write essays for schoolwork, for example, this can fit neatly into your usual creation routine. Leaving links to your work in blogs or other sites allow your friends, family, colleagues and others to access your work and up your pay. Sites like triond (Triond.com) are particularly good for this.
