The number of websites that claim you'll make up to $300 a day processing rebates from home is growing drastically. You can pretty much guarantee that when you open your Bulk mail (spam folder in your email) that you will find numerous emails from these companies. They all pretty much make the same promises that you:
- Make money your very first day
- Make up to $300 a day
- Never have to sell a product
- Never have to have your own website
It's really hard to make these claims that anyone can do this job, and that you will actually make this much. Most of what these companies say in their sales page can be done. On the contrary, it is not as simple as they make it out to be. Many things need to be assessed before you should jump into this type of “work at home business”. The potential to make this kind of income is possible, but a lot more difficult than it sounds.
Why This Doesn't Work For Everybody
The truth of the matter is that this particular program works much different than those companies say. You are not processing rebates for different companies, you are processing the rebates that you offer from the sale of a product. So, you actually have to sell a product before you ever process a rebate. You are an affiliate trying to sell another companies product. Sites like Click bank and Commission Junction is where you would go to pick your products to sell. You are then given a hop-link (a hyperlink that is traceable back to your affiliate account) to post when you advertise. This is where most people fail. You really have to know your resources and sites to advertise.
Advertising
If you can't advertise, this program is definitely not for you. There are hundreds of sites out there that you can advertise on. You can post on classified ads or make your own webpage to advertise your products. Where to advertise is the important concept to understand when doing this system. These are not your everyday products. Most products you will be trying to sell are “money making” programs or subscriptions. So you have to pick a site to advertise that has a “home based business” or “business” category. Picking the right category is really important for two reasons. One, some sites will delete your account if you get the category wrong. Two, if your ad is in the wrong category, then you are not getting the type of visitor you want.
Another kind of advertising is “the big ecommerce sites” like e-bay, and amazon. This is a risky way to advertise your product because in order to post your ad, you have to pay a posting fee. Whether your item sells or not. So, you really need to be sure your product will sell, or you will be spending money instead of making it. It's definitely something to consider when starting your advertising.
Again, the income potential from processing rebates is real, but uncommon. It's not common for somebody to make $300 a day, every day, processing rebates. Based on my research, only a select few have been this successful at this business. Your success is ultimately based on how much time you are willing to spend. Those that have been successful, have spent many hours ensuring that success.
