Growing the Radish

Radish seeds germinate in a matter of days. Radishes are an easy crop to grow, or mark the rows between other crops, that take a long time to grow. Usually it takes about 20 days for a Radish to pop up. It is one of the fastest crops to grow.

You have a choice of the color Red or the color White. You can also choose to grow a French style. The French style look like a small carrot, but more tapered at the tip. Just depends on what type of Radish you prefer.

Sow radish seeds 1/2 inch deep. Space them 1 1/2 to two inches apart. Separate the rows, eight to ten-inches apart. Recommend double rows. Always keep your garden clear and free of weeds and never over crowed the radish. If not enough room the radish will not bulb properly.

Succession planting every two weeks will result in radishes all season. Note, radishes will not perform well in high heat.

Should take 20 to 30 days to mature.
