General Rules for a Garden From Feng Shui Perspective

Feng Shui is a system based on keen observation and experimentation, combining elements of nature and nutrition. It is the study of the environment, places, people, time, and how the energies of each interact.

Plants and trees are excellent features for energy generation. The greenery around surely surrounds the residents with peace and serenity.

Branches of the tree should not reach towards the ground and should point ot the sky. Branches aimed at the ground draw the energy down. Fruit yielding or flowering plants are better than those that have only foliage.

A Feng Shui garden can be designed to improve all areas of our life. Surrounded by hundreds of plants which show living energy we can remain upbeat too. Take care for plants do not do very well in the interiors and may cause bad odors or defective energy.

If you living in an apartment, you can still apply Feng Shui garden concepts by adding outdoor and indoor hanging plants, window boxes and potted plants. These container plantings should have colorful, flowering plants. It is very important because it has the effect of bringing the energy of nature inside and will greatly benefit everyone living there.

Thorny plants are bad especially near the main door. Thorns are triangles and signify fire energy. Trees with a rounded canopy are better than those that are pointed or triangular. A tree from afar should look like a circle. Rounded leaves are better as they signify coins whereas sharp leaves signify friction.

Also avoid overgrown plants or bushes that block people and energy on pathways. There are as many ways you could go wrong with the garden as you could proceed correctly. So take care for that.
