Wow I was just over empowered by two very cute kids. Emily and Joshua, I am not and never have been a mother, I studied children in college and I was a “mentor” for about 5 years with a different child each year, but I totally do not know how to communicate with kids.
We are out at the race track, one of the tracks we tgo to out of state and a lot of the drivers my husband is familiar with from home are out here. One driver I have met at our home once or twice before when he came by to borrow or used a car thing or ask my husband a mechanical question regarding his race car but never met his family. We came into this track late last evening after fighting rain storms and it was about 10 PM when I met several new people. I had gotten up early, 5:30 instead of my regular 7 am to see my patients so we could get away for this race weekend. I was reintroduced to a driver Bruce his wife and two kids. Bruce I had spoke to recently on my husbands cell as we were coming to the track, to ensure we could all paddock together. The kids came out of wherever they were. I had just told one of my favorite drivers hello and that I woke up early that morning and had to excuse myself to get my bed ready. This driver said “oh no you cant go to bed you have to meet my friend and Bruce's wife. I saw the two ladies coming and then two happy energetic kids running behind them. The kids saw that our Rv was open and asked if they could look inside, I did not know they had been to our local track many times before and in our RV before but they had never seen the race car inside the RV and that is very exciting for kids, I guess.
